Registration for Easter Vestry

Registration for Easter Vestry

Part of the way Belvoir Parish is governed is through a membership list called the General Register that is open to anyone who considers themselves to be:

  • Part of Belvoir Parish
  • Who is over 18
  • Who is a subscriber to Parish funds (by standing order by envelope or by one-off recorded donation)

Those people on the membership list can vote for, or be nominated on to, the Select Vestry; the Select Vestry are the trustees or governors of the church. This opportunity to vote happens at the Easter General Vestry.

The membership list is only open for one month every year and that time is now. It is open until Tuesday the 18th of February.

Not everyone will want to stand for election or be on the Vestry, but everyone who meets the criteria can be on the membership list, and it’s an important way to be part of Belvoir Parish. All you need to do is to complete and sign a form. You only need to do this once so if you’ve done it before you don’t need to do it again.
